Cartoons Used to Rock

Yesterday my friend Jason asked me a very simple question: “If you were a thundercat, which thundercat would you be?” My very quick and definitive answer was “Tygra.” For those of you who know the show, please answer that question in the comments. That, of course, sparked a long conversation about how great the cartoons of the 80s were. Cartoons these days just aren’t the same. Am I right? I remember being so pissed off when the Power Rangers debuted, as it was a clear rip off on Voltron!
Anyway, I found this video below after searching for clips from Thundercats. It should bring back some memories for a lot of you I imagine. Please let me know what you’re favorites were!

i liked G.I. Joe and actually didn’t mind the early Power Rangers seasons. I pretended to be the pink ranger.

With regard to the Voltron and Power Rangers topic. I felt that the Power Rangers were a complete ripoff of Voltron also. I decided to Wiki Voltron and guess what? They are!
Super Sentai, in Japan, formed the basis for Mighty Morphin Power Rangers from a Voltron storyline. So yeah…Mighty Morphin Power Rangers officially suck now. AND furthermore, if I see them in the street…I am totally pushing one of them down…
